What information do you need?

Your website address, a description of the problem, what you expected to happen, and any relevant screenshots or error messages.

If investigation requires access, we'll also need administrator credentials.

Will you definitely fix the problem?

We'll always investigate and diagnose the issue. Many problems can be resolved quickly. If the issue requires substantial development work or changes outside our control, we'll explain the options available.

How long will you spend investigating?

This service covers investigation, diagnosis and troubleshooting of a specific website issue. Many problems can be identified and resolved quickly. If the issue turns out to require more extensive investigation or development work, we'll explain the situation and discuss the options before proceeding.

What if my website isn't WordPress?

That's fine. While we frequently work with WordPress, we're happy to investigate websites built on other platforms where appropriate.

Does this include follow-ups or ongoing support?

No. Ad hoc Support is a one-off troubleshooting service. If you'd prefer ongoing management and maintenance, our Managed Websites service may be a better fit.

What if you can't help?

If it's clear the issue sits outside our expertise or is unlikely to benefit from our involvement, we'll tell you. Where possible we'll point you in the right direction.

What happens if the problem is bigger than expected?

Sometimes an issue uncovers a larger problem. If that happens, we'll explain what we've found, what can realistically be achieved within this service, and what your options are. No additional work will be undertaken without your agreement.
